Meh, it's been awhile. Let's start one of these up, eh? They were always fun.
Hmmm... it's been a long time since I started one of these....
--------------------------
Mission (Allies): Find important information on Red Typhoon. Get information on anything that can be of use.
Time Setting: Think Final Fantasy VII.
Secondary Mission (Allies): Do anything you can to disrupt the Red Typhoons operations.
Mission (Red Typhoon): Stop the Allies.
Mission (Never Ks): Stop the war.
PCs(Playable Characters):
*The Allies (Geting Information)
*The Red Typhoon (Trying to stop the Allies)
*The Never Ks (Trying to stop the war/ on neither and both sides/ few in number/ mostly work in small groups or solo)
--------------------------
Fraction: Never Ks
Howmi sits at the peak of the mountion, busting with energy. He must try to stop this war from going on any longer. With a burst of enegy, he sends a quick energy surge through the electic systems of the Red Fraction Network, shutting down all security systems within a quarter mile radius.
He leps from the peak, jumping from cliff to cliff, making his way to the Red Fraction city....

It's been a long while since we've done one of these. I hope you boys aren't rusty.
He zips up his jacket, the bite of the cold finally getting to him. How long has it been since he's been standing out here? He wishes he would've brought a watch or anything to keep him busy. He begins to fiddle with a tiny rock with the tip of his boot. Rolling it around, making a small patern in the dirt.
"Something just blew out the security syste--" He heard a Red Typhoon soldier as he and several others ran past.
Someone has already started it, he thought to himself. They'll never get anywhere without knowing which locations to strike.
That is the big problem, isn't it? Knowing where to hit. It's been twenty long years living under the Red Typhoon rule, but no one has ever found their weakness.
"Cloud, I've brought the files," a man under the guise of a Red Typhoon foot soldier said as he approached. "We finally have it. We know where their supply of weapons comes from. We know where their secret generators are at. Everything Cloud. We may finally have a chance at freeing this place."
No one has ever found a weakness in the Red Typhoons defenses... until now.

Howmi hit the ground with a thud. He was weak, as the electrical charge weakened him, but he had to continue. He sprinted like a mad dog over to the city gates. Cast-iron and held by magnetic bolts, they couldn't even by touched. He would have to go over them.
The Never Ks were, for the most part, adpets in the art of "magic". They didn't like calling it magic, the Never Ks. They prefered calling it their "gifts". Most had a speciality. Electicity, for example. Though, they were some in both the Allies and the Red Fraction that had the gift, they were few, and far-in-between.
Howmi jumped what must have been 10 feet high, but it wasn't enough. He had to get a foothold... there! He jumped again, this time placing his foot in a small crack in the normally smooth surface of the wall, and pushed off of it. He was over.
Howmi quickly ran to the shadows. He could be seen, as no one knew who he was, but best to remain unseen until he wanted to be seen. He noticed many people run past him, and a guard run up to another man. He had to move. Too many people in one place. He had to destory their weapon clache. It had to be done. Howmi cluched his dai-katana, and walked/ran as casually as he could in the general direction of the weapon storage.

He handed Cloud the small disc containing the information.
"Here, it will tell you everything you need to--" A bullet to the temple cut quickly off his sentence. The informant was dead, and the Red Typhoon soldier who had shot him had set his sights on Cloud. The Red Typhoon soldiers had found them somehow, and it was time for Cloud to make his getaway.
He stuffed the disc into his jacket and quicky did a one-eighty into the nearest alley. He leapt onto his motorcycle and placed his hand into the finger print scanner. With a mighty roar of the engine, he was off, with the Red Typhoon nipping closely at his heels.
He zoomed in and out of traffic, missing a crashing death by hairs width several times. With one hand guiding the cycle, he reached into his jacket and pulled out the disc and a small device with a flat screen. It had a small drive to insert the disc in, and he did just that. Immediately, a small map of the city appeared on the screen. Several locations were highlighted, but for now, his target was the Weapons Cache.
In an instant, he veered his cycle off the road and into another small alley, heading straight towards the middle of the city.
They would not stop him. Not this time.

Howmi decided this was an opertune moment to sink into the shadows and take the back roads. A bit more obvious, but it was faster, and the Red Typhoon was probally too caught up in it's ordeal with the Allies to pay him any mind.
Howmi ran as fast and as quitely as he could, closing in on the underground weapons' safe. All he had to do was destory about 10 tons worth of ammo, weapons, and guns to criple the Red Typhoon's hold on this area... easy, right?

(I've never played FF7 but couldn't pass up the opportunity to play so bare with me if things i'm describing sound a bit off from that time frame)
Rezzax opened his eyes and everything slowly blurred into focus. A yawn escaped his lips as he look at the clock. Red flashing numbers stared back at him. 'Power must of went out last night' he thought to himself as he sat up in bed slowly shaking off the early morning drowse. Quickly getting dressed he made his way to the kitchen to find a clock.
The home was quiet except for the padding of his feet and he thought to himself 'Wow...'. His mind began to drift back to his family and the years he spent growing up in his old home. The morning bussle and racket that usually filled his old home. His brother noisily crunching down his cereal. He snapped back to reality when he looked at the kitchen and realised it was 9 o clock. 'Shit I gotta be at work in an hour'
He quickly put whipped up a breakfast of the odd the spread in the fridge mixed with some toast. Tripping over some of the boxes that have yet to be unpacked he made his way to the bathroom and quickly showered. His mind raced with all this he had to do today. After the insane rush to get ready he grabbed his briefcase and stepped out the door. Not a moment sooner did he shut the door did a motorcycle veer down the street going at break neck speed down the busy road. A loud bang rang out and he ducked being a little spooked. He then saw the the rider fly from the bike and land in the middle of traffic. Not knowing what to do he raced over to the fallen rider on impulse to see if he could help...

The air exploded from his lungs as the bullet ricocheted off his thin armor beneath his jacket. The pain quickly overwhelmed his senses, his vision blurred as he felt himself losing control of his bike. The front tire of the cycle clipped the bumper of a Red Typhoon vehicle ahead. The back of the bike came forward in a violent rotation and Cloud was flung several feet in the air to land painfully in the middle of the traffic filled road. He had enough wits left in him to tuck in his arms and legs during the fall so that the roll would smooth his crash a bit. A dozen scrapes and bruises had appeared around his body, and he was sure a few ribs were shattered in the process. In vain, he tried to arise from the ground and keep running, but he couldn’t force away the pain long enough to do so.
“Are you okay?” He could hear voice say to him from nearby. Someone must’ve run into the street to check on him. Bad idea. The Red Typhoon would surely gun the person down, thinking the person was trying to aid him.
“Pick… me up,” he said through the blood welling up inside his throat.
The person set down his suitcase and flung Cloud’s arm over his shoulder, picking up the broken rebel.
“What now?” the person asked, a bit confused on what to do. Now that his senses were coming back to him, Cloud could guess the person who had come out to aid him was a male on his way to work. If only the man knew what he just gotten himself into.
In front of them, a lady in a beat up old fan honked at them, swearing at the duo and telling them to get off the road. Cloud reached into his thigh holster and pulled out his custom made Glock. Aiming it at the woman in the vehicle, he shouted, “Get out of the car!” Turning to the man, he said, “Go drag her out; we need to get out of here.”
“But I’m no car thie—,” the man began to protest.
“The Red Typhoon is after me. If we don’t get out of here, they’ll kill you as well for helping me.”
The man nodded and did as he was told, with more than just a bit of uncertainty in his actions. The woman didn’t attempt to fight back, she obediently got out of her vehicle because the gun pointed at her head was all the motivation she needed.
Cloud stumbled over to the passengers side and took a seat. A hand was clamped over the throbbing pain in his ribcage. As the man climbed into the drivers seat, he asked, “Which way are we headed?”
“East,” answered Cloud, and off they went.

(NOTE: The time period of Final Fantasy VII is something like the '90s, minus many, many vehicles. So, a women in her car, or ANY traffic are bery unlikely. Also, people mostly use swords, so guards are more likely to carry them, than pistols, or rifles. Also, wood is the main staple of buildings, and stone and conrete are very rare. Okay, so here's the low down of this time frame: *We have '90s tecnology, it's just VERY rare, and VERY expensive. Also, alien tecnology CAN exist. Not alien, alien, just... highly advanced tecnology, it's just EXTREMELY RARE and not generally known to the public at large. Also of note: I don't usally take control of other peoples characters. I let them tell me what they do and say. So, I would probally never post Cloud's last post, but that's okay. I'm just saying, I find it quite odd. Okay, my ramblings are done. ) ---------------------- Howmi made his way through the back streets, only to hear a gun shot. That stupid Ally. Arg. Even though the Never Ks were nertural, Howmi had always leaned twords an Ally alliance. If he didn't help the fool, he would have it on his contionous for quite awhile. Howmi jumped out of the back streets... only to land right on a Red Typhoon soldier taking aim at the Ally. "ARG!" He cried. "Get this joker offa him and take him into coustody!" Said another. "Put your hands above your head!" He shouted. Howmi's hand was under him, and cluthing his dai-katana. Forgive me.... He thought. Howmi jumped up, gutting the nearest guard. He used his power to enhace his senses, but there were too many... he had to stall them. The 6 or so guards fired, effectively cutting themselfs to ribbions as Howmi in attentionally jumped out of the way. Three remained, injured, and then eight more appeared, with more on the way. Why did the Allies always make such a mess? Howmi thought as he landed on a roof of a small inn. This wasn't going to work... he'd be killed. With a bolt of energy, he blasted the growing group of guards, blinding them. Howmi sprinted over to the other side of the roof, jumping over to the next one... then jumped down. Acually, it would have been more accurate to say that he fell down into a heap of trash. The slums, oh how he loathed it.

Well, I wouldn't exactly limit ourselves in that way considering Midgar from FF7 was a pretty advanced area, except you were limited in the game to travel the slums only. That's why you don't see many vehicles or anything of the like, because everyone you encounter in the city is poor. But areas like the Shinra building where you do the driving mini-game on a high way hint at the rest of the city having access to vehicles, or else why would they've built the highway to begin with?
Anyhoot, I'll let Rezz decide where the Adventures of Cloud and Rezz take us next.

I'm not much of an RPer but I have played FF7 like 5 times and Cloud is right about the Midgar thing. It's not like you were the only one on the road whenever you were on the bike protecting your friends. But the reactors had to be some kind of crazy awesome technology that's advanced like WAY after the '90s, but you could say the average man has '90s technology.

(concerning the control thing that's not a problem with me, doing that helps me feed off the other players so i get an indication of what to do, if people are too formal it'll never go anywhere so i appreciate it)
Knuckles white on the steering wheel Rezzax frantically darted looks at the road and the beaten up passenger in the vehicle.
'What the hell just happened? All i was hoping for was just calling 911 and providing a little help. Now I've broken the law. What the hell is wrong with me. I shoulda just dropped him when he pulled the gun...'.
He looked over at the wounded man and felt a pang of guilt for saying that. Looking like he just lost a fight with a truck. 'What Are you saying? this guy is in bad shape and you were just gonna leave him at the side of the road?' He looked over at his bloodied passenger again. The van dipped into a pot hole evicting a wince from the strangers mouth.
Sick and tired of the quiet game and more out of nervousness than anything Rezzax cut the silence "Should I take you to the hospital? Do you have any family? I mean we're running out of road here we've almost reached the city limits..." Rezzax waited for an answer.
'Just shut up and drive you idiot this guy does have a gun. Lets just keep pushing his buttons till he shoots you' He thought to himself. He always had an over active imagination and he hoped it would have gone away with age. It would have made this situation a lot more easier.
Rezzax took a sharp turn left and hit an area he didn't recognize to well. The buildings loomed over throwing shadows over the van. Not liking the area he decided to not listen to the nagging thoughts.
"Where are we going? If i'm gonna help you i'm gonna need some information! I'm no doctor..." He waits for a response "so your just gonna sit there" The silence is deafening. "Look I give up. I have a job to go to and see some family and live my life. I can't get caught up in yours expecially if you just sit there. I dont' car jack, I don't take people who are being shot under my wing. And for whatever it was it was probably good reason- actually i don't even care. I'm gonna go. I'll call the hospital to come and get you. I'm sorry but i just not made for this..."
Rezzax struggles for the seatbelt as he opens the door to step out of the vehicle...
